உக்கிர வடிவமாக நின்ற அந்த
உருவத்திடம், “நீ யார் கூறு?” என
“முற்பிறப்பில் அந்தணனைக் கொன்றான்,
பற்றினேன் இவனை பிரம்மஹத்தியாக!
இவனையும் பிறரையும் விழுங்குவதற்கு
அனுமதி அளிக்க வேண்டும் முனிவரே!
பசி பிசைகிறது என் வயிற்றை!
பசி தீரப் புசிப்பேன் இவர்களை!”
“பசிக்கு உணவு தருவேன் நான்
வசிப்பாய் அந்த மரப் பொந்தில்!”
மகிழ்ந்தது பூதம் பொந்தில் புகுந்தது
அழிந்தது மரம் பெருந்தீயில் எரிந்தது!
மரத்தோடு எரிந்து போனது பூதமும்.
மறுபடி வந்தது திவ்விய உடலுடன்.
“அந்தணன் என்னைக் கொன்றான்
அடவியில் இக் கள்வன் காமந்தன்.
அன்று முதல் பற்றினேன் இவனை.
இன்று நீர் அளித்தீர் விடுதலையை.”
பொன்விமானம் வந்து இறங்கியது
பொன்னுலகேகியது திவ்விய ஆத்மா.
திடமான நம்பிக்கை பெற்ற அரசன்
“தீர்பீர் என் கொடிய நோயை” என்றான்.
“விநாயகர் புராணத்தை நீ விரும்பி
வினயத்துடன் கேட்டால் தீரும் நோய்.
பிரமன் பெற்றான் ஈசனிடம் உபதேசம்.
பிரமன் செய்தான் வியாசருக்கு உபதேசம்.
வியாசரிடம் நான் கேட்டுக் கற்றவற்றை
விவரிப்பேன் உன் கொடும் நோய் மறைய.”
விழுந்து வணங்கிய அரசனுக்கு பிருகு
விவரிக்கலானார் விநாயக புராணத்தை.
வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி
#3c. Brahmahaththi
Brugu demanded the scary figure,” Who are you?” It replied, “I am the brahmahathi dosham. I caught hold of him when he killed a brahmin in the forest in his previous birth. I want to eat him and all his people. I am starving for food. I need your permission to eat them”
Brugu replied,”Reside in the hole of this tree and I shall give you food”. The figure entered the hole and the tree got burned down completely. The figure vanished with the tree. When it reappeared it had a divya roopam.
“I am the Brahmin whom he killed in his previous janma. I caught hold of him as his dosham. You have delivered both of us from our bonds.” It prostrated to the rushi, got into a golden vimaanam and flew heavenwards.
The king gained confidence now that the rushi can save him. He prayed to Brugu, “Please cure my skin disease”
Rushi said, “If you listen to the VinAyaka purANam with due reverence all your problems will disappear. Siva did this upadesam to Brahma who in turn told it to VyAsa. I listened to it from VyAsa and will tell it to you in great detail.
The king paid obeisance again and the rushi started his VinAyaka purANam.
